Wiggins and the T’wolves eventually lost the Rockets in Mexico City last night but that didn’t stop Young A. Wiggins from giving you a glimpse of his all around game, blocking James Harden on one trip down the floor and driving by him for a dunk later in the same quarter.
The hype machine built up Wiggins and Jabari Parker to be franchise players before they even played a minute in college. The hype machine then turned on the both of them during their only season in college pointing out every potential flaw imaginable.
The popular line now is to say that neither one will be elite players. It is too early to lean either way but it’s hard to imagine that Wiggins won’t live up the billing of being the number one overall pick.
